OMG, yeah, The Shadow Of The Wind. Nothing short of brilliant, isn't it? I loved it!! There is something about the plot which grabs you and transports you into the story, and you simply cannot escape. So awesome!

I liked The Angel's Game as well, but imo, TSOTW is better. Also, Der Dunkle Wächter, an earlier writing of Zafón, is a good one, I think it's aimed at a bit younger audience, but it's still GOOD.

The last book you mention sounds hilarious, indeed. *lol* I like the concept of it!

Definitely brilliant! It's so full of atmosphere! I enjoyed reading it a lot, and I was actually a little sad when it was over. ;)

Haha, well, the book is in German, so if you ever get your hands on it, you should read it! :D

Oh dear, I know what you mean. I keep putting books on my "to read" list, too, and considering the length of that list, I almost feel like a slow reader, even though I know I'm not. But it helps if you read a couple of pages every day, for instance during your lunch break or when you get home after work and want to relax a little. :)

Okay, that's understandable. Well, at least you get to read on the train, that's important, too. I love reading when I'm going by train because, as you said, you can't do anything else anyway, and the time passes a lot more quickly.

I loved "Brave New World" and "1984" - unsurprisingly, because I'm a huge fan of dystopian/utopian novels in general. :) If you're interested, do check out my book tag, I wrote some reviews about dystopian novels in the earlier entries. :)

And yes, do read "The Shadow of the Wind", it's fantastic! :)

Lord The Shadow of the Wind was such a great book. I remember I couldn't stop thinking about it for days after I finished it.

Totally understandable! I was almost sad when I finished the book because I didn't want it to be over! :)

I need to update my book list. I have read 3 books in the last 5 weeks and one of them is really rec material I need to share. It made me flail

I'm really glad you loved The Shadow of the Wind. As I said it's one of my favourite books. That said Angel's Game is great but I prefered the Shadow. Perhaps because it's a prequel of sorts and I'm bad with that kinds of books, but you should still read it.

Yes, please! :D

By the way, if you want to keep track of the books you read, I can recommend Goodreads, you can friend people there and rate books and compare them with others. :)

Definitely going to read "The Angel's Game", too! :)

I'll do it this weekend. I'm going to spend it in front of my laptop doing stuff so I'll need some kind of break.

Ooh Goodreads sounds cool. I'll have to check it :)

Do it! I love Ruiz-Zafón. Even his books for kids have that darkish side of his :)
