Oh yay, that is so awesome! I definitely want to learn Spanish as well, but first, I need to focus on some more ass-kicking when it comes to the grades I write in school. ;o)

I heard VHS courses are pretty good - ah well, I guess it always depends. You can have bad teachers anywhere. ;) And yeah, language schools are damned expensive. Maybe you could book a course at the community college first and see how it goes? If you're not satisfied, you can always take one of the expensive language school courses. :)
