Poor Villareal. I hope they get it together soon, or they're going to dig themselves a hole too deep to get out of.

(PS Last time I checked, puta meant "whore".)

Fortunately they managed to win against Málaga, so they're not last in the league anymore. But that doesn't mean everything's sorted out. They must win some games now to get out of the relegation zone and back to where they belong. *bites nails*

(Uhm, yes, that's actually what I meant when I translated the article. What's the difference between "whore" and "bitch"? Does the expression "son of a whore" actually exist?)

I was so excited for them when I saw they had finally won a game! Now they just need stick with it.

(Er, there's quite a difference. "Bitch" literally means "female dog" but is generally used to refer to a woman who is bad-tempered or cruel. "Son of a bitch" is a rather mild insult and can even be used as an exclamation, e.g. to express astonishment. "Whore" means "woman who has sex for money" and is infinitely more insulting. Calling someone "son of a whore" is fighting words.)

Ah! Thanks for the explanation! I always thought these two words were interchangeable. *goes to fix post* :)

Wow, I hadn't really been following much on the Spanish clubs (but maybe I should since my uncle lives in Torremolinos...) so reading this about Villareal is rather sad. I hope they'll be able to rally together and shape up their team playing.

(Is Fuentes still with Villareal? I'd certainly like to see him play more on the team...)

OMG, you have an uncle in Spain? That is awesome. I wish I had relatives in Spain, I love the country so much. And I guess it's no surprise that I follow three Spanish clubs. :) Unfortunately, it's not that easy at the moment, especially when Villarreal are doing so badly. They won at the weekend and aren't last in the league anymore, but that doesn't mean it's all fine again yet.

(From what I remember, he left at the end of last season. *checks* No, he's still there! Weird! I thought they'd sold him in summer. But he's only played one match this season, maybe because the rivalry is too great within the defense.)

Well, I guess it's better than if they'd lost and still been last. But yes, I see much progress will need to be made on the grand scale of a miracle.

If we slap them on the side of the head, do you think that'd help...(hmm, that might just end up with me being on some weird hitlist...I know! Disguise!)

(I do like Fuentes as a player and wish they'd utilize him more...stupid rivalries...*pouts*)

EDIT: And I do love the Costa del Sol region ^_^ I got to see him last year and we enjoyed ourselves immensely (especially since he owns a restaurant so knows where to go to get great food and also got us a great deal on the hotels)!

Oh yes! I was incredibly relieved when I read the score. (Unfortunately I couldn't watch the match. No PayTV company in Germany holds the rights to La Liga. *sigh*) It's just a small step, but an important one nevertheless. Now they need to continue in the same fashion, and hopefully they'll be able to pull themselves out of this mess soon.

(LOL, be careful with that slapping, otherwise you might damage them for good. XDDD)

I'm still not quite sure what the matter with Fuentes is. He hasn't been on the subs list for the match against Málaga, so he's either injured or doesn't play a part in the coach's plans anymore. But in that case, they'd have sold him in summer. Very weird. Maybe he'll have a better chance to get a place in the starting line-up now that Gonzalo Rodríguez is serving his ban?

I'm so so so envious! Apparently everyone's been to Spain except for me! *pouts* But I'm definitely going to go there next year, come what may! :D
