love is good for footballers, as long as it's not at half-time...

"Bendtner? We work every single morning together and who can say they never fell out with their girlfriend or wife? These things are natural. If you love someone too much, you fall out with that person."
- Emmanuel Adebayor, Arsenal FC. ( source)
I thought that was a pretty interesting quote. XD ( Read more... )

Am I the only one who thinks that this prompts fic?
Ohmygosh. While I think Masche is another one of those annoyingly unslashable types, he really, really needs to be written more! I think there's so much potential in him as a character, he's so adorable!
But omg, did you see what Maradona said about him? That he WILL CONVINCE Masche to be his captain, because he's too darn awesome not to be? :O Argentina = made of awesome.

I think I'm the only person in the world who doesn't melt at the sight of big blue eyes. Franco Costanzo is gorgeous, though. Wow.

Oh, Rubén. Get well, love. Don't rush yourself back into football!

Carragher does indeed talk very strange English. Scouselish.

I would say "I'll show you how unslashable Masche is, just you wait" if I wasn't right in the middle of writing a different fic. But you're right, he's got so much potential ("FUCK OFF!" XDDD), and he needs to appear in more fic. *nodnod*

That he WILL CONVINCE Masche to be his captain, because he's too darn awesome not to be? :OThat is indeed awesome. I love Zanetti, and he's been a good captain, but I think that at the moment, the Albiceleste need someone who can push them, and Masche is the right guy for that, I think. Let's just hope that in case he becomes captain, he doesn't "celebrate" it in the same fashion as the last time he captained Argentina... XD ( ... )

Wow, you're so focused with your fic-writing, only doing one at a time. I write, like, a gazillion things at once. It's a little chaotic.
Masche definitely needs to be written more. I'm guessing that he lurks in the shadows of most fic because he's not that well-known. But hey, if he becomes Argentina's captain, that should surely change that! ;)

Oh my gosh, that was so terrible yet so hilarious at the same time. And it was his birthday that day as well!

I completely agree about how hard it is to understand Carra! Whenever he does an interview, my brain spends about a minute just trying to get used to his accent before I'm actually able to pick up words.

(Adopt away! And I have an inkling that you have indeed told me that, but I'll happily take it again! XD)

Yes! I don't know about the other teams, but I know for sure that Argentina and Germany are playing on the 19th. :)

I just couldn't resist their generous offer. :D And OMG, it seems that the jersey arrived TODAY! After just two days! That's pretty incredible. I wasn't at home in the morning when they tried to deliver it, so I'll have to drive to the UPS centre at about 7pm to get it, but OMG! SO EXCITED. :D I'll take a photo of it later. :D

And yes, you have to pay by credit card there. I'm glad I got myself one this year. (Though I spent far less money when I didn't have it, so you might have a point.)

Yeah, the fact that Sergio appeared in the poll is the reason why I find it so ridiculous. He's already established himself in the Selección, unlike the others. (Though I was proud that Aragonés took de la Red to the Euros.)

Oh dear. Whatever coherant comment I might have been formulating has just gone out of my head after seeing these three picture. GUHGUGHGUHHHHHHHHH.

Oh..right, what I was going to say was that 1] it's a CARDINAL SIN not to have Saint Iker's jersey available for purchase at any given website and 2] watched Real-Juve and really it could have ended just 1-0 if it wasn't for the awful, AWFUL attempt at defending a free-kick. That wall's position was just comical. They practically handed Del Piero that one.

Yes, I know what you mean. :D

It's completely BEYOND me why the Official Real Madrid Online Fanshop doesn't have Iker's jersey. *facepalm* Maybe it's because he always wears his own creations (with cut sleeves and waist), and Adidas haven't figured out yet how to copy that. *sigh*

And GOD, that free-kick. The really horrible part is that we've already gotten FOUR goals exactly like that this season. If you're interested even Numancia scored like that against us (at 0:36). And every time, Iker yelled his heart out and the wall didn't budge one bit. It's getting immensely frustrating. (Also, I could KILL the people who put the idea in Iker's head that the goal was his fault and made him apologise to his fans. GRR.)

Looking at that ~modified~ jersey only further proves my theory that Iker is ghettofabulous and would fit in perfectly where I live. Hee!

WTF?! Oh poor Iker. I see him yelling at his players but they just..don't seem to be listening! This is kind of embarrasing for a team of Madrid's skill and calibre.

Something else I've noticed from the 2 Madrid games I've seen this season [Deportivo away and Juve at home] and the odd highlight on TV is Schuster sitting on his arse inside the dugout complaining. He needs to get up and get on the sidelines and start affecting his team with his presence. You'll have noticed that Rainieri [Juve's coach] was on his feet for all 90 mins and they won the damn game. The team won't manage itself bb.

my adoration for De La Red is so sad =P. I started to like him 'cause he oddly remmebers me to Ayala =P, but he loos so pretty there!

I have something to say to the Iker picture, if you excuse me: Dear Iker, please finish shaving, love Maia. =P
