This isn't my ship either, but I was so drawn in by your excellent historical detailing and the exploration of the characters personal struggles and relationship that I had to keep reading until the end. I've read a few Gillington story lines before, but they always seem so flakey... If there was something going on between these two-- it would definatley be a power play or at least start out that way...Anyway, very realistic.

*LOL* Yes, "something else" quite hits the nail on the head. :D Maybe you remember me flailing and ranting about this fic and especially the plotbunny last year. It's definitely creepy, but it was a big challenge and I'm relieved that with the help of wonderful people, I managed to complete this.

I don't think you missed anything with not knowing Secretary. It's basically the same storyline but with a different situation at the beginning. A girl with quite a troublesome past (she's a borderliner and came out of a mental institution) applies for the job of a secretary and soon realizes that her employer isn't quite normal, himself... ;) If you're interested in the movie, though, I could send it over to you and you can send it back to me when you've watched it. :)

I'm glad that I managed to make this so intriguing - someone else said that they couldn't stop reading before it was finished, either. :D I consider that a great compliment!

I'll try to get the package ready until the weekend but I can't promise anything. The post office opens after I've gone to work and closes before I get home, so it's a bit inconvenient. The only day I get to send mail is Friday because I return from work at lunchtime, but this Friday, I'll be off to Munich to visit a friend. In any case, I'll send it to you. No problem at all. Just be a bit patient with me. :)
