Oooh, I haven't read The Murder of Roger Ackroyd in years! I've loved Agatha Christie since I was a kid. I wonder do I still have a few of her books...?

Oh! You must read it again! It's really a great story - not her best, of course, because I'm all too biased towards Curtain: Poirot's Last Case, which is too brilliant for words, but The Murder of Roger Ackroyd is ingenious as well, especially for the reasons I mentioned. :)

I wish I had more of her books, really, because they always make such a good read. :)

Love Agatha Christie. There are only a few mystery writers I like. She is one of the best. I nearly have all of her books.

Yeah, I've become quite nitpicky as well when it comes to mystery writers. I don't like many of them, and Agatha Christie has been, is and will always be my Queen of Crime. :)

Oh yeah she always will be. I like Conan Doyle, Dick Francis, Lillian Jackson Braun and one other one who sets her stories in the elite of Boston Society.

I don't like Arthur Conan Doyle - at least not Sherlock Holmes - because he gives the reader NO CHANCE AT ALL to guess the culprit. Agatha Christie gives you lots of clues and if you pay attention and keep a clear head, you actually stand a chance against the master detectives or the police. That's what I love about crime fiction. :)

Apart from her, I like Elizabeth George (Lynley/Havers), Georges Simenon (Inspecteur Maigret) and Brigitte Aubert (various). :)

Aaaah Paul....;) :p I like the little scene where Dr Lord & Roddy nearly have a bit of a head-to-head when Roddy comments on not wanting to have to see the room again and Lord comes back at him with "I'm not surprised..." ;) And of course, "Can I take you home?" Nnnnngh!!! :P

Aww! Yes, that was too cute. :)
Have you read the book? If yes, were you disappointed because they left out so many cute scenes with Dr Lord?
