I just struggled with the fact that Sam made absolutely no effort at all. It's one thing if Dean was gone for good and Sam knew that 100% for a fact, but he didn't. Dean deserves better than that, and Sam just abandoned him to it without even lifting a finger to help or figure out where Dean went. He should have made some type of a attempt because Dean's worth the effort. I know Sam loves Dean, but sometimes I don't know if he loves Dean enough. I know that sounds awful, but I can't help but feel that way sometimes. :/
And don't get me wrong, I don't blame Sam for wanting normal, but normal doesn't include leaving loved ones behind in the dust either.
I believe simply didn't know where to even start. Both he and Dean relied on Bobby and Cas to help them and EVERYONE is gone. For all Sam knew, Dean was completely gone too.
I get the anger, but I don't question how much Sam loves Dean, but you are not the only one in the fandom who does.
I don't like to question it because it ALWAYS leads to an argument about favoritism and which brother is better and blah, blah, blah.
I love Dean. I love Sam. They are both so screwed up and both have this perfect image of each other that it is impossible for them to live up to the way the other perceives them.
