Yeah, my family rode out the storm. They are a loony bunch so their experience was probably not much different than what Forrest and Lieutenant Dan had going on while trying to keep the Jenny from sinking. LOL Everyone's houses stayed intact and there were no injuries, so that is really all you can ask for in this kind of thing. Now they just have to deal with no electricity. Now they are saying that it could take up to 4 weeks! Imagine??
And YES, it was great talking to you last night even though you didn't know it was me. (Most of the time, the accent is a dead giveaway LOL) Well, hope the painting was all that you wanted it to be and more. From the sounds of things, you were having a pretty decent time. :)

My sister called and she says that it's like living in a 3rd world country right now. Limited phones, no electricity, no hot water, lame food...
She says that it may be this way for 4 wks! Still, they got through it without any trees breaking through their houses and no flooding, so I'd say they are pretty lucky. They are about an hour and a 1/2 from Galveston Island and the storm was still a category 2 when it hit them.
