In the meantime, you should into perhaps playing this someday: South by Southwest (SxSW) It's one of the biggest, if not THE biggest festivals on the planet (typically over 1000 shows with bands from all around the world, over the course of a week), takes place in March, and it's only a little more than an hour away from my place...
