Last time… The affair between Seth and Leah was discovered, leaving all concerned heartbroken, sad and/or angry.

It had been 4 years now.

As time had passed by many things had changed. Despite the set-back to my career as an actor, due to my reputation being tarnished, as well as Luke sacking me from “One Skyscraper Hill”, I was now a featured actor often starring in a variety of shows, with a lead role in CSI: Bridgeport. Also Leah had left Bridgeport, probably due to her guilt.

I also had a bit of a makeover as I was now over 40 years of age. It was time to retire the old cap!

However, despite not living with kids anymore, we often visited each other over those years. A now teenage Dane and me often talked about stuff, from the trivial to his studies.

He also had got a guitar or his thirteenth from me and loved to play, whilst I loved to hear, songs he had created.

Dane was still athletic too, and me and him often played catch, even after all of these years.

Also there was my second son Isaac who is also a teenager. We often talked about many things as well.

He often got so in-depth in his conservations now, that I tended just to listen however- his intelligence was far beyond mine. He still had nightmares about that doll too, which he talked about, as well as what he will do when he is a criminal.

Obviously I tried to push his aspiration away from a life of crime, telling him to look more to his artistic side- including writing books, which he often liked to do.

And finally there was my daughter Skye, who was a very excitable, optimistic child.

Me and Skye almost always visited the butterfly sanctuary- she loved how they all came in different sizes, colours and shapes. She adored butterflies.

Her imagination often ran wild too. She was the princess of the butterfly kingdom and I was the jester.

Also for two years now Jessica, had been going out with a new man, named Lee.

And I could not help but look, as he made her happy.

Was it guilt, was it jealousy? I didn’t know but I often ran away after a couple of minutes. I ran away from it. Like I always do, run away from my problems.

Another year had passed. One day I was going for my morning walk, when I got a phone call… from Jessica.

“Yes what is it, Jess.”

She told me about how her usual helper with the kids and dogs was ill for a few days, and with Lee away on a month-long business trip, how she could do with some help. So obviously I stepped in.

“Are you sure about this?” she asked.

“Yeah sure” I replied, “It will be good seeing the kids. Plus I’m just over the road.”

And so I stood, there as Dakota and Bella sniffed me. This was obviously there way to say hello to an old friend.

“Hello there Bella, long time no see.” I said, stroking her fur, reminiscent of my old dog Buster. Ah poor old Buster, I missed him.

A voice came out from the front door that startled me and awoke me from my reflective mood.

“Hi Seth.”

“Oh hi Jess.” I said quickly, coming back to my senses.

“Well I’ve got a sleeping bag for you inside. Oh but just thank you for coming to help out with kids. It’s well appreciated.” she said with a sigh of relief.

“No problem.” I smiled.

“Thanks for helping me, with the dogs, they get so mucky sometimes. Just be…”

“Oh” she was interrupted by the gushing flow of water heading towards me and my clothes.

“Of the pranks! I got it!”

“So who was it.”

“Ah Dane or Isaac, maybe both. They are both thick as thieves sometimes.” I was glad to hear that Isaac and Dane were friends again, even if was over pranking your parents.

“Are you sure your okay mopping this mess up?” she questioned me.

“Yeah, I’m fine, boys will be boys. I’ll be sure to get them back.”

“Ah, I almost forgot how good you were with the kids. Lee just get’s a bit stressed at work sometimes, so he just gets a bit frustrated at the kids.”

“They are only teens. I don’t mind pranks.”

“Besides, some people have made bigger mistakes in their lives.

“Hmm.” She could easily tell what I was referring too.

“Nice prank, Isaac.”

“I’m glad you liked it.” He said with glee.

“It’s good too see your getting on better with your brother and sister.” I could tell however he was more focused, with the creepy toy doll.

“Still gives me nightmares. Just trying to figure out why.”

“Could you take the doll away? Oh and as an answer too what you previously said. Well yeah, it’s all good now… mostly.”

“That’s good to see.” As I turned away, I was sure I saw a glimpse of the doll moving. Probably working too hard. “I’ll take the doll too.” I quickly added, before picking it up.

“Is it okay if I leave, Isaac’s old toy here, Skye.”

“Yeah sure.” she grumbled.

“What’s the matter honey?” I questioned her worried about what was wrong.

“It’s just homework… as soon as school is over I can’t remember half the stuff I’ve learned. An I do listen.” I could sense the frustration in her voice.

“Just try your best okay, it’s all you can do.” I reassured her to keep trying.

“Okay Dad.” I caught a quick glimpse of her grin, before she tried to concentrate on her homework.

That night, I listened to Dane and his band “The Strikes” practice. I saw how all the basic sounds from each entrustment mixed together to make pretty unique music.

I could not just but help, dance along to Dane’s embarrassment.

I was so proud of my son, he and his friends were gonna make the big-time. Although I wasn’t sure about the tattoos. I would have to talk about his rebellious style the next morning.

It was the next day, when Skye came to me with a question.

“Dad, is it okay if my friend Miles comes over?”

“Yeah, sure Skye honey.” I answered.

“Oh thank you Dad!” I heard her shout happily as she grasped me for a hug.

“It’s just, Lee doesn’t like my friends coming over much, Apparently it distracts him from his work or something.” This news startled me.

“Really, hmm…”

“Thanks dad, anyways” she beamed.

And so next stop was Dane.

“Right son, we need to talk.”

“Okay, Dad!”

“Right son it’s just about that tattoo.”

“Ah your gonna get angry like Lee aren’t you?”

“No just your gonna have to live with it okay. You gotta learn from your mistakes… like I did.”

“I do kinda regret. Let’s just say it was a bit of a dare, and we all did it so.”

“Plus it does kinda help our rockstar image.” he added.

“Yeah son, I just want to say.”

“I’m really proud of you. Going for your dreams like that.”

“Oh thanks Dad!”

“You know what I’m gonna make sure we are gonna make it big one day. I want to make you even prouder.” he continued, with plenty of optimism.

“I hope to see you do that.” I smiled.

“That’s good there Isaac.” I said before going on my walk out.

“Yeah, I quite like this one.”

“It’s nice to see you back around Dad.”

Was my son replaced by another clone!"

“Now, an artist is at work, Dad!”

Okay, maybe not.

By the time I was back, Skye’s best friend Miles was about.

“Thanks dad.” I heard her whisper kindly.

“You kids have fun.” I grinned back.

As they came up, I had a quick peek to see how much fun they were having pillow fighting around the house. I needed to talk with Jessica.

“Jessica, are you happy.”

“Yeah.”

“Do you love Lee.”

“Why yeah.” I saw her wonder, wonder why I was asking these questions.

“It’s just the kids and even you said, that he’s getting stressed and taking out and the kids and that.” I told her troubled at what I had heard,

“He’s alright normally, okay. It’s just work.” she screamed angrily, quite obviously protective over her boyfriend.

“Well we all work Jessica. And we don’t get stressed at the kids.” I countered.

“It’s just are jealous or something.”

“I don’t know okay!”

“It’s just your saying all that about someone I love.”

“Alright, sorry.” I said trying to calm her down.

“I’m sorry.”

“I’m sorry for shouting at you too.”

“Yeah, I’m really sorry for everything… I did to you.”

It was sudden. A twitch in muscles, a simple twitch in position.

A simple gorgeous kiss she gave me.

“Right, I love Lee okay. But I love you too, more in fact.” she admitted.

“No, I can’t, I’m sorry. Go back to Lee”

And so I ran.

Ran away from my problems like I always did.
