Last time… We learned more about life for the Bishop’s including Dane and Isaac’s personalities, but also about Buster’s (glitchy) death. However there was one thing for Jessica and Seth that would make everything perfect, a third and final child. However after three years of trying and a Christmas wish their dream came true and Jessica was pregnant.

7 months later our third and final child, our daughter Skye Bishop was born. She had Jessica’s lush, brown hair and mysterious golden eyes who Jessica thinks she got from Skye’s grandmother.

Our son Dane was now in childhood as well.

Skye was a perfect addition to our fold, and the girl me but especially Jessica had always wanted. She was a fun-loving and easy to please girl.

However, teaching Skye to walk, talk and potty was proving difficult. it was not that Skye was not a bright child or anything…

She often got a bit bored and distracted by other things…

And was quite forgetful sometimes. We did get there though, eventually.

Skye had also fallen in love, with Dane’s abandoned old toy Joe, who he happily gave it too.

Her imagination ran wild with Joe, often holding pretend dinner parties and the sort.

Meanwhile Dane our eldest was still a charmer as always.

As he grew up Dane started to become more athletic and enjoy sports. Obviously trying to build up his fitness to impress girls. But that also meant we could spend more father to son quality time.

Dane and me both enjoyed it.

And often me and him played it to the later hours of the night, in weekends obviously.

However he still had a love for music and despite being to old to play with his old xylophone toy he often danced around the radio when his favourite songs came on. Me and Jessica had also promised him a guitar when he was older. So he now had interests in sport and music. One day I asked him about this.

“So Dane, what do you want to be when your older?”

“Well maybe an athlete or maybe a musician, I’m not sure yet.” he exclaimed cheerily.

“Glad to see you have an idea what to do then.” I told him, reassuring him that he can reach his dreams. I never wanted be my Dad, and force my kids into something they don’t want to do, like his stupid business.

“Wait a minute, brainwave!”

“Maybe I could be both?” he beamed.

“Always good to aim high.” I replied encouraging him to reach his dreams, like I did many years ago.

Also by now Bella, had grown into an adult.

And Isaac was still in love with the strange weird toy he named Alice, despite growing older and closer to childhood.

Then one day, as I arrived at Lucas’ apartment…

“Charles, Seth…. it’s my sister Leah.”

As I caught a glimpse of her gorgeous emerald eyes, I felt many feelings from my sub-conscious come back to the fore. My first love. But the thing about crushes is, very often you get crushed, and that is why I became the way I was- until I met Jessica.

“Hi Charles, or Seth now isn’t it. I’m sorry about what happened in the past.” she spoke with a sincere, apologetic look. I remember it now, I revealed my crush to her, got together, then one day she broke my heart, she found love with someone else and split up with me. I should hate her, but I blamed myself.

“Leah.” I gritted my teeth and kept my concentration not to lose myself in her eyes again.

“I’m very, very sorry. Can we be friends, Can I be forgiven?” she pleaded with me, practically begging with me.

“Sure.” I said.

Over the next few years, Isaac had reached childhood and became rather different from when he was a toddler. From our soft cuddly toddler Isaac after a couple months at school he had grown to be rather sinister. Something had just clicked, and he was not the same son he once was again.

One day, he even gave his old toy Alice to Jessica.

“Are you sure about this?” Jessica questioned him, rather confused at what was happening.

“Yeah, it’s starting to scare the shit out of me with it’s nightmares.” He replied.

“Try not to swear Isaac.”

"Sorry mum.” he spoke with his ever so slightly menacing smile.

One day he even took candy off Skye.

“What you got there, Skye.”

“My Candy!”

“Well it’s my candy now.” He exclaimed with delight.

“Your horrible brother!” she cried, immediately grabbing Jessica’s attention.

“What have you done Isaac?” Jessica asked him.

“He stole my candy.” Skye blurted out.

“I didn’t steal it, I merely borrowed it for a while.”

“Isaac, time out now!”

Jessica and me were starting to lose our patience with him.

He had a fight with Dane too one day…

“There’s no need to be so mean Isaac, especially to our Skye. No need to be so underhand either, trying to gauge my eyes out.” he muttered angrily

“Do I give a fuck… no. I win, bye brother I’m off painting.” Isaac said before running off.

The strong brotherly bond they formed when they were younger had now been broken.

It was strange the only thing we recognised about our son was that he can be clumsy. And he also showed his vivid imagination now through his pieces of art. Apart from that it was like he was took by aliens and replaced with an evil clone. Like I said before it’s like we have lost our son, what he was like before all of this.

However there was a positive, Dane had made a bond with sister Skye, they loved each other to bits.

Also by now our trio- me, Jessica and Lucas had become a quartet with Leah soon joining us and being accepted as part of our family, on nights out etc. whilst getting a babysitter to look after our kids. I had started to repair my friendship with her and Jessica also became fast friends with her too. It was fun, as if we were kids again.

“So has my brother been losing his temper when I’ve not been here.”

“No he never has, has he Jessica?”

“No, not countless times or anything.”

“Stop being sarcastic guys, it’s not funny!”

Then one night, that fateful night…

As I entered her apartment I could tell she was upset. Her boyfriend had broke up with her. And Jessica urged me to see if she was alright.

“Leah… are you okay.”

“Yeah I’m fine.” I could tell she was not however.

“You don’t look fine.” I was worried about her.

As she moved closer to me, I could smell the alcohol out her breath, and inhaled the toxic yet sweet fumes.

“Kiss me, Charlie.”

“NO!”

She kissed me and I was intoxicated.

“Oh, Charlie it has always been you.”

“No, I can’t do this…” But it was to late.

By that time, we had both undressed and were together in bed. This was so wrong yet so right. Since the first time I had met her once again, I was caught under her spell. But my love for Jessica had always beaten it off. Just one lapse of concentration and it had turned into a full-blown affair.

It continued for days.

And then weeks…

And then months.

It was like an itch. You know you can’t and shouldn’t scratch it, but you do. And when you do it feels oh so good, yet it is so wrong.

I felt dirty, I felt filthy. I felt horrible. But Jessica, could never know about this, it would break her heart.
