i know, right? i don't have kidney stones but my partner does and i would never let her go on this kind of diet even though we don't know if her kidney stones are diet-related or not (they may or may not be oxalate stones)
My "diet" is "everything in moderation, including moderation." Obviously that'd be different if I had intolerances or medical conditions to eat around, but still. No sugar, no salt, no caffeine? Is anybody in the world going to stick to that? I think not.
Right? Whenever people tell me to cut out caffeine I roll my eyes so hard. I know that caffeine has risks, but it definitely has serious benefits for me. The idea that everyone should across the board eliminate one type of food from their diet without exception is always a red flag for me. Or a sign of someone who has done something positive for themselves and is improperly aggregating to the population.
