The Prom Synopsis: Prom season has arrived, though no prom night would be complete without a little beast-related sabotage, teen angst, and of course the perfect dress. Meanwhile, the Mayor's Ascension fast approaches and the Scooby gang must still figure out what that entails. But even the Mayor and some formal-wear-hungry hounds can't ruin what

This chapter, though things between them were a bit rough at the beginning, was probably one of the cutest chapters written thus far, in my honest opinion.
I mean, with the whole proposal thing, how could it not be?
Seriously, when he asked her to marry him, I nearly started crying because I was so happy for the two of them (I am a complete teddy bear, though you would not know it by the looks of me.. <.< Dun judge me).
I'm glad you had them race home instead of having engagement sexy times in the closet.. That just wouldn't have been good enough.
Heh. I just can't wipe this smile off my face. :D I love love LOVED this chapter (I still love how they like to tease each other with their outfits.. And was SO GLAD when Jenny didn't open his top drawer. When she was going to, I was like O.O DON'T DO IT! NO!).
Anyway, enough from me. I LOVED it, though that doesn't really sum up how good this chapter truly was.
Thank you, as always for the EPIC Giles/Jenny RP. <3 <3

Glad you enjoyed the proposal :D Ever since I first started mapping out season three, I knew that was where I wanted them to end up at the prom, so I had been dying to write that. And heeee! The Jenny-finds-the-ring fakeout was a total last-minute mind change from me, lol. I was originally gonna have her find it. :D
Thank you thank you again!! Your enthusiasm for this definitely keeps my enthusiasm for writing it going. :) :)

And, I'm so glad you enjoyed this!! The proposal plot had been simmering on the back-burner for awhile, so I was SO glad to finally reach this episode so I could get it written.
(And haha, I still would love it if they had a chance to re-enact the utility closet shenanigans! I'll see if I can fit it into Graduation Day somewhere, lol, before the school gets all blown to pieces.)
So happy, as always, that you liked this! Your reviews mean so much to me. :)

And that's saying something because I don't tend to get all gushy about proposals and weddings and such, but you've apparently turned me into one of those girls who does :D. God, this chapter was just so lovely and adorable and exciting, I'm probably going to be re-reading it from now until pretty much forever. I love how even through all the setbacks they've had, Jenny and Giles are still so in love and still completely the couple I fell in love with on the show, but somehow a better version of them that never had the chance to evolve in canon. Really fantastic chapter, I almost can't believe how fabulous this RP is. ♥

I don't tend to get all gushy about proposals and weddings and such, - I so know where you're coming from on this. Weddings are enjoyable to a point, but I'm not one for all the super-sappy stuff. Except when it comes to these two, LOL. With these two, I'm a big giant sap. Top OTP, what can ya do? ;)
I'm so glad you're enjoying the evolution of their relationship. It's been such a joy to be able to write it; to throw in all the little twists and missteps and everything that makes up a strong relationship much like theirs could have been.
Thanks again!! ♥

If anyone deserves some happiness, it would be Giles and Jenny, and this moment had been long overdue. LOL I was practically itching with the need to get this proposal thing out, I had been waiting so long to write it. So, I'm thrilled you enjoyed it!!
Also, I'm glad you enjoyed the fairy tale installment! I've always enjoyed fairy tales, and thought it would have been a fun plot device to use in the Buffyverse. :D
Thanks again!

I think I just died.
No, fr srs, died.

My brain? You broke it. It is now a pile of mush. Therefore, you're getting something of a rambly stupid gushy comment right now.
Ok, first? The lolz.
"He's got a mincing schoolboy crush on Cordelia Chase."
SO TOTALLY GILES, and a perfect description :D
"So. What will you be wearing to this prom? That red little number again?"
Grinning, she reminded him, "You ripped that one, remember? Got a little overzealous when we got home from that staff Christmas party?"
"Ah, yes." Staring off into space a moment, he couldn't help the smile. "That was a great night."
LOL. OH, GILES. LOL.
Christ. Perhaps he really wasn't that different from Wesley. What a horrifying thought.
OK, I gotta admit, a lot of the lolz here came from the Wesley-bashing. But it's just funny to laugh at him!!
"Darling, why do you have a gun?"
I can literally HEAR him saying this line, all sleepy and kinda passive :D It really made me laugh!
Second? The cute.
"Did you... request this song?"THEIR ( ... )

And LOL! Glad you enjoyed the Giles-snark. I love writing him SO MUCH. His voice is SO specific, and he's so hilarious without being intentionally-so. Often times the simplest things he says with the most simple inflection end up being the funniest. So, he's definitely a joy to write.
And I LOVED Jenny's almost-discovery of the ring :D Made me grin! Hehe, why thank you! To be honest, my original plan was to have her find it and have to play dumb, but I ended up changing my mind at the last minute, so I'm happy you got a kick out of that :D
Thank you again, SO MUCH, for all your kind words! I'll be getting a start on "Graduation Day" tomorrow, most likely. I'm anxious to bring season three to a close, and get started on four :D
