This is great- and a guided tour of Florence to boot - did you have a holiday recently? I did some touristing there a couple of years ago and felt overwhelmed, so many "must sees". Love Harry as a flight attendant - he'd be damn cute in the uniform. Interesting expansion of Muggle/Magical world interaction details.

Thanks, I'm glad you're enjoying it! I studied in Florence for a semester a while back, which I figured gave me just enough expertise to write it from a tourist's perspective. :) And Harry in an airline uniform would be all kinds of awesome! Thanks for reading.

Thanks - I've read a lot of fic where the Wizarding world is completely accepting of sexualities, but I tend to write it as being much more repressed and antiquated. I'm glad it worked for you.

I'm glad Harry didn't lose his cool with Cedric, because I def would've. It's a human reaction, and a natural one, but still. That being said, I really appreciate Alida's point of view regarding using magic for everything. It's similar to the argument against modern conveniences, how people are so reliant upon the computers and whatnot that they'd be helpless without them. I meant to point this out in my story, and if I haven't yet I'm going to in the future: Muggles went from their first successful flight to reaching the moon in only slightly more than half a century. Wizards, as far as we've been told, have never reached the moon. So the way they look down on Muggles is totally out of line.

I'm sorry, I just went off on a bit of a rant there, didn't I. On a completely different note, I'm glad that Alida is so accepting of Cedric. She's an amazing original character.

Cedric was a jerk to be sure, but it's sort of understandable; good thing Harry had some practice keeping his cool. :) And I'm glad you liked Alida. OCs can be tricky.

You should totally explore the wizard/muggle difference in your fic. I agree it's an interesting topic!
