Lol I love the reference to the Dan Rad interview about David...

Haha, it's true! I was going to use the David as a vehicle anyway, and the interview snippet just sort of wrote itself into the scene. Thanks for reading.

Lovely! I'm really enjoying this story and the interaction between the two boys. Particularly the David moment. Nicely done! *grins*

There's so much... ease in your writing style - makes for a wonderful read. Looking forward to part three! :D

(It's funny, but speaking of David... I had a moment of confusion the other week when I took a friend and her partner to the V&A Museum in London and found Michelangelo's David staring at me from a closed off gallery. I was completely confused, I thought David was in Italy somewhere and since the gallery was closed I had no way of finding out what he was doing in London. I later discovered it was actually a plaster cast make in the Victorian era. Go figure. (And it is a huge statue - much bigger than I thought it would be from pictures…)) *shuts up... sheepishly*

Thank you for the kind words! I'm so glad you're enjoying it.

And it's funny you mention that about the David - there are actually two replicas of him in Florence. So I'm not surprised he made his way to London, ha. Apparently they were big fans of plaster casts in the Victorian Era. :)

This is lovely! :) Please don't make Harry leave.

I like this: "Cedric stalked off to explore the other areas of the museum, while Harry secretly compared his arse to David’s. Definitely a shame this was his only day in the city". :)

Also loved Cedric's first exposure to pizza, and the fact that he loved it even though it wasn't that great. The only bad pizza is no pizza...

Thank you! Harry . . . will leave and never speak to Cedric again. Sorry. ;)

And agreed on the pizza. Hee.

More, please!!! (Story, not pizza. Pizza's cool, but story's better.)

Hee! Liked it a lot. Especially the bit about Harry comparing Cedric faovurably to Michelangelo's David *G* (King David, btw was Gay too- google "David and Jonathan")

I'm still reflexively worried about Dr. Lecter having some Hufflepuff Pie *g*. After the first paragraph, I kept visualizing him saying "That is the Duomo, seen from the Belvedere; do you know Florence?" *g*

Thanks! Although I suppose I wasn't the first to compare Rob to marble, was I? Lol.

I did know about David and Jonathan, but didn't think to throw that in. There are actually loads of (arguably) gay figures involved in the Renaissance - Michelangelo was just convenient. :)

And I'm telling you, Dr. Lecter will not be making an appearance, despite his appreciation of Florentine architecture. ;)

It's true that Michelangelo's David is perfectly proportioned except in the genital region. Perhaps Michelangelo was having a hissy fit with the model and got revenge by giving him a wee one *g*.

Keep Harry and Cedric far, far away from the Salon of the Lillies and the Chapel di Pazzi. But you can have Draco mysteriously devoured during a tour of the Duomo, by all means *g*

I seriously, seriously love the end of this chapter; the last lines are loaded with tenuous hope and longing and totally amp up the anticipation factor. I loved seeing Harry and Cedric genuinely carefree, running about the city and having the fun they never had during the war. A very propitious start to a relationship, I hope.

Thank you, especially for your help! As to where their relationship is headed, you'll find out soon enough . . . ;)
