Oh, I LOVE HP/Twilight crossovers.

This is amazing. And oh, Cedric. He utterly broke my heart in this.

Apart from RPattz fangirls who love both Edward and Cedric, most of the people I know in the RL aren't so cool with Twilight, so I'm glad the first comment wasn't a shower of virtual rotten fruit. Thanks for reading, and I'm glad you like it!

Thank goodness. A well-written, sensible crossover with Twilight.

Also, I love how Cedric's resignation counterbalances Edward's melodrama.

I always thought of Cedric as sensible. While Edward does have eighty-odd years on Cedric, he always struck me as a bit dramatic. Given his whole nifty suicide plan and all. Thanks for reading! I was very, very nervous about posting it, but the muse struck and I thought it best to obey. Plus I couldn't resist, given that the two characters were played by the same actor.

Oh, how wonderful was that?! What a sweet, tender, heart-wrenching one-shot.
*sighs* I loved it. Crossovers usually don't go down too well with me but this was creative and well written while staying true to both characters; it was a definite winner in my book. My sister bought me "breaking Dawn" two days ago and I had to struggle with myself to not immediately turn to the final page and have a look see (just call me Billy Crystal) but my sister threatened my life and so I started at the beginning like a good book reader and so far it's fantastic. I wouldn't mind a whole bunch of one-shots to keep me going until you're able to get a full blown story out on the computer waves. *nudge nudge, dimpled grin*

I'm glad you thought Edward was all right. I've read the entire series only once, and not much fanfic in Twilight itself, so I wasn't too confident on his characterization. Thanks for reading, and I'm glad you enjoyed it. I think Min once mentioned that, as Cedric and Edward were played by the same actor, it would be fun to write a story about them both, so I made an abbreviated attempt. If I can figure some more one-shots, I will.

Ha, that was very enjoyable! You did a nice job playing up both the parallels in their lives and the differences in their personalities. I like how Cedric's all, "Life's tough. Get over it." :)

(I'm slowly plugging away at the final section, so expect it sometime tomorrow. Readers should be happy to know it's a long one!)

I'm glad you liked it! I thought about sending it to you (when I went and wrote it at three in the morning, then decided you didn't need enough grief, so I let it sit for a day, tweaked it some, then took the plunge. Even though Edward is older and has lived through more, it might be safe to say that, in my crazy little world where Cedric is all awesome Unspeakable doing spying and fighting and things, he's been through more crap. So I'd expect him to be a bit more patient.

Well, no worries. This one isn't in need of much if any betaing.

Actually, it's interesting how you compare Cedric going into hiding with Edward running away. If anything, the direct parallel would be both of them giving up their former lives once they "died," right? (I haven't read the books, but I have a working knowledge. :))

Well, Bella is part of Edward's life after he "died," but he's running away from Bella to keep her safe. (Which is why he's missing through most of Book 2 and Bella is really, really angsty.) Cedric didn't run away from Harry so much as get kicked out of the country as some bureaucrat decided that having him hang around was, I don't know, some sort of national security problem and that it would be better for everyone if Harry didn't know Cedric was still alive. Plus, while Edward is running away, he is also hiding, though less from Bella and more from the monster he thinks he is, I guess. He thinks that by running away from her and endangering her he's less of a bad person or something. So they're both hiding, but for entirely different reasons.
