What ho, bedraggled masses.

Felt I should pop by and note that Mr. McQueen has been recovered. He remains with us, poor sod, and has been shown to the nearest member of the medical personnel that I could find.

Though, Ms. Kazahana, I should go seek him out, were I you. Far be it for me to make medical suggestions to a professional such as ( Read more... )

And where have you been as of late Argent?

You didn't happen to see Allen did you?

But it's good to know that McQueen is safe.

Here and there and everywhere, Miss Lucy. As I am wont to be.

I am afraid I have not. Stumbling upon Mr. McQueen was entirely an accident, and I have had no such fortuitous stumbles where Mr. Walker is concerned.

I should have known you would pull something like this out of your hat, Argent.

It is good to hear all the same.

Would that I could claim more credit for it, but it could as easily have been anyone else.

A little good news at this time seemed due, after all.

What's this about a consult?

Ah, well. The young man I left Mr. McQueen with seemed quite uncertain what to do with the large tree segment in Mr. McQueen's shoulder. I only hope that he get appropriate care.

Though, I confess, I was a also being a tad euphemistic.

That would require a careful hand and surgery, of course.

Something like that cannot possibly remain embedded, lest you wish for blood poisoning and other such infection. ...Or if you'd like to lose the arm, of course.

I cannot, of course, speak to Mr. McQueen's wishes, but I believe he and his arm are rather close so to speak.

What? Where?

Oh, with one of your compatriots in Sector One. Young man? Highly impressionable?

He seemed quite alarmed when I left Mr. McQueen with him, which is why I suggest that someone else might take a second look.

I see. How badly injured is McQueen?

The injury itself, I would guess, is severe but not life-threatening. He has been wounded for a number of days, though, by the look of his clothing and the state of the rest of him.

But he was still conscious and cogent enough to bicker with me, which I take as a very positive sign.

I am turning in for the night.

Mr. McQueen has been turned over to our able medical staff, so I expect he is wherever they have been taking patients these days.
