Kaidoh calls and wakes you up, and while it’s technically three in the afternoon you have no reservations about yelling at him for interrupting your sleep. He calls you an idiot but you agree to meet up with him at the street courts anyway - that was perfect.

The Momryo was perfect too, with Momo's tunnel vision and devotion, and the way Ryoma sort of...used him but didn't, and made it so hard to be mad at him, as usual. It was so easy to see why Momo loved him. The Momokai stuff was perfect too. Now I want to read a sequel!

Thank you so much :") Yes, I think tunnel vision devotion is a really good way to describe Momo re: Ryoma . . . the poor guy. :( It's so hard for me to write MomoRyo because I actually really like the pairing but I just feel like it's impossible to have it end well, agh.

Obviously I wrote this like, over a year ago, but I really would like to write something like a sequel sometime. We'll see. I'd like to write a lot of things, sigh.

I feel like I hold my breathe the whole time I read this! Now I'm all out of breathe but I feel... almost happy. This is goooood!

I'm not a fan of MomoRyo myself (to me they're "just" friends) but you made this work perfectly. It was... aching to read how Momo was so caught up with Ryoma. It was so intense and... determined.

Awww thank you. :) This one was kind of sad to write for a while, but I'm glad it at least wasn't a totally unhappy ending.

I've been inactively looking for this for a long time now. I actually figured that it didn't exist and I was either misremembering another fic, or piecing together bits of different ones. But I was re-reading your Akazawa/Kaneda fic (which is also a favorite of mine) and somehow stumbled on this. So I'm quite excited now. :)

This fic hurts--even re-reading it I had to cover my mouth so that I wouldn't accidently whimper. I'm a big MomoRyo fan, but MomoKai and TezuRyo still work for me. They make sense in a way that Momo/Ryoma can't--just like you've described. This fic aches, but there's still the feeling that they're best buds and they'll work that out. Plus you've made the 2nd person work for Momo, even though he's not the most introspective.

Anyway, thanks for writing this.

Ohhh, thank you so much! I love getting thoughtful feedback. :) I'm really glad you enjoyed it--this was and remains one of my favorite fics I've ever written. The process itself was just very smooth and cathartic and I felt good about it afterward.
