I am not an Adobe person myself, out of principle because their software is always extortionately expensive & you do not get what you pay for ( Read more... )

Wow, yet another nail in ATi's coffin. I'm concerned that very soon there will be no competition for nVidia, and that's bad.

Meanwhile I'd be very happy if Adobe would make programs for Linux (other than the awful acrobat reader (of all the PDF readers in Linux, it seems like the worst), as Photoshop would give a massive boost to the number of Linux users.

Oops!

Apparently CS4 *does* support the general-purpose programmeable feature of Nvidia cards, yes, but it does so via OpenGL instead of Nvidia's own CUDA.

That means that AMD/ATi's graphics cards are equally supported.
