Pretty much Cas is working with Crowley, as Crowley put it "The new Devil and the new God working together" and just...Dean called Cas family and his brother and they argued. a lot. The boys found out Cas had been spying on them for a long time and when they did they had to trap Cas in holy fire to interrogate him about Crowley and purgatory. Dean was pretty much crying when he was yelling at Cas and just asdfghjkl
and Cas is the one that brought Sam back from hell. He literally said I'm the one who raised you from perdition.
THE ENTIRE EPISODE WAS PRETTY MUCH THE EPICLY HEARTBREAKING LOVE STORY OF DEAN AND CASTIEL.
NO THEY DIDN'T. DEAN PRETTY MUCH BEGGED CAS TO STOP WHAT HE WAS DOING AND CAS SAID HE COULDN'T SO DEAN WAS ALL 'FINE...THEN I'LL FIND A WAY TO STOP YOU'
