One of my teachers had that last semester. She was out for a week or so, but she made a full recovery. :) Just try to talk to your mom on the phone a lot and watch some good movies/shows on your snow day.

Yeah, I know she'll be okay (my bro and I stayed and watched Idol with her til it was over) but just having her in a hospital is messing with me.

Thanks, hopefully she'll be home soon, the doctor mostly just wanted her to go in today because if things were to've gotten worse, she's be snowed in here (that is if it'd start actually snowing instead of this mushy rainy-snow crap)

*hugs* I'm sorry your mom's not feeling well, but diverticulitis isn't a huge deal, I promise. Mostly you just have to change your diet and stuff. My grandma has it and my mom has worked for a GI doctor for years and she says most people with it live normally.

And toast and soup is A++. If she was really, really sick, she wouldn't be allowed to eat anything at all. Trust me, I've been there. They can't be too worried if she's allowed solid food.

She can relax and watch TV all day. Though she'll probably never want to eat jello ever again.

You are so lucky you have a snow day tomorrow! We are expecting 14 inches by tomorrow and my school hasn't called off at all yet. =[

I am so sorry to hear about your mom. Diverticulitis is definitely difficult to live with. One of my co-workers has that and she has to have a special diet and be careful about everything she eats and drinks. I hope your mom feels better soon! ♥

yeah, all the teachers today pretty much said we weren't having school tomorrow (hell, some even said we might not on thursday either)
so when they called earlier I wasn't surprised.

They'll prolly be bitches about it and call at 5am and wake you up D;

Thanks, and yeah...she's gunna have to completely change her diet, but at least she'll be okay.
