I would never get up in front of UD students and in response to "Why is Russia so afraid of military attack?" answer "Why are you so afraid of us?" "Us" being the rest of the world. He called for the USA to recognize that all countries

Yeah, my tone was confusing. I was too excited to make real sense. Gorbachev really wanted to reform the Sovet Union, and he said that he feels perestroika was a success, and would have worked had so many mistakes not been made.
