It has been far too long since I've taken up human form. Last time it was for some childish human whim of my brother Hart; a blasphemous Sinatra concert if memory serves right

I’ve been wandering for what feels like forever when the woman approaches me. She reminds me of Lilah at first, the way she carries herself - streaks in her hair and a smile on her face that wouldn’t be out of place on a hellbeast.
And then she speaks.
She asks if she can be of some assistance and I arch an eyebrow, not trusting myself to not snipe at her.
I can hold my own in a fight. Did so many a time with Lilah - but this isn’t even remotely my turf (I’m not even sure what my turf is any more) and my defences are drawn.
“I’m waiting for someone,” I tell her, my tone abrupt, “But thanks anyway.”
And please leave now, I add silently, because I don’t feel like making random-ass small talk with a Wolfram and Hart flunky.
Ohh I like this girl, she's got bite in her. Wonder what she'll say when I show her my teeth?
I cock my brow at her and cross my arms, letting some of that fake nice routine fade away but keeping enough in check to prevent her from knowing who she has the nerve to talk to like this. "I oversee all visitors and employees in this office." I smile. "You'd say that I am a record keeper of sorts."
The vibrations she sends me only makes me want to push her further. It's been a long time since I've been around humans and one of my favorite things to do is piss them off. Cordelia seems like the perfect person to relive that fun past time.
"I'm sorry miss, but I can't have people just wondering around the office unattended." I smile sweetly at her. "I'd be happy to escort you somewhere..." Out of my fucking building.
My earlier assumption of needing to have my defenses drawn was apparently right. I don't even know if I can trust my friends while they work in this office, trusting someone who looks like they could give Lilah a run for her money would be downright stupid
