Timeline/Setting: post series for Buffy and season 2 of Leverage where Dawn and Buffy are Nate’s nieces.

Holding her cookie between her teeth Buffy pulled her hat down over the top of her ears as she stepped out of building.
“Summers.”
“Sterling.” Buffy stiffly said seeing the Interpol Agent step into the street out of the alleyway.
“What is the second in command of The New Council doing with Nate Ford.” Sterling moving to stand in front of her.
“Oh, something you don’t know and its bothering you. Don’t worry I have plans on having anything to do with art. And my work doesn’t have a reason to be interested in his work.” Buffy said eating the cookie she snitched from Eliot when he was pulling another tray out of the oven.
“I’ll find out what you’re up to Slayer.” Sterling called back as he turned and walked away.
Finishing her cookie Buffy shook her head and walked into the alley way.
Having changed into pajamas in their apartment Buffy walked into Nate’s apartment for the movie marathon. Having left before the decision of which movies she wasn’t sure what would be the movies for the night. Climbing over the sofa she squeezed between Dawn and Eliot.
“Hey.” Dawn greeted her wiggling over a bit.
“Is it a movie I like?” Buffy asked with a slightly petulant tone of voice.
“Bad call to the main office?” Eliot asked. To explain her nightly business Buffy said it was daily calls to the main office in Europe.
“No the call was fine. I stepped out for some fresh air and Sterling was lurking.” Buffy said reaching for the bowl of popcorn.
She ignored Eliot tensing up next to her and Dawn’s grumble of “I hate Sterling.”
“How do you know Sterling?” Nate asked leaning forward in his chair.
“He was convinced one of my girls did something illegal and was determined to prove that he was right.” Buffy explained.
Hearing everyone’s grumbles of hating sterling Buffy announced, “Tomorrow we’ll start the “I Hate Sterling Club” but now I want to watch a movie.”
“Oh Treasurer! Right here!” Parker declared pointing to her self.
