Giles could always blame the wolf for his enjoyment of the puppy pile. ;) It's a feasible thing, but a small part of thinks it might have more to do with his personality. Though I'm curious as to why Stephen was so submissive to him already. So many thoughts getting stirred up with this series.
One quibble - "This situation would have given ander" - I think 'ander' should be 'Xander' in this sentence.
