Summary: Tony has a couple of messages from a friend he met in a chat room years ago.

Timeline/Setting: After the movie Avengers and recently after Chosen.

“Sir you have three messages from RedTree.” Jarvis said as Tony walked into his workshop.
“Bring them up on my computer. How long ago was her last message?” Tony said gently pushing Butterfingers’ arm away so he could sit.
“Thirty-six days. Would you like me to track her down?”
“No. Let’s see what she has to say.”
When Jarvis had detected the messages from RedTree he had brought up the archive of her communication with Tony. They met in a chat room shortly after Tony’s parents had passed away and he had ventured into online chat rooms embracing the fact that no one knew who he was. After an hours long conversation they had traded email address and continued talking. Tony at college, RedTree in highschool, her teaching the computer class, while they both were at college, her parents ignoring her once she moved out of the house, and summers of goofing off and comparing hacking challenges issued to each other. When the messages slowed down in May every year Tony figured it was due to studying for and taking finals. Other than his time in the desert this was the longest they had gone without talking. According to Jarvis’s calculations this was the longest healthy relationship he had with a human other than Miss Potts and Lt. Col. Rhodes.
“Starkers! I’ve missed talking to you! The school year ended great! If you were in Los Angeles and wanted to go somewhere to celebrate, where would you go?”
“Hey, I’m going on a road trip and I’m not sure how reliably I’ll be able to get to an internet connection. How are you doing? Didn’t you say you moved to New York? I’ll try to send more next time.”
“Oh My Gosh Starkers! New York is HUGE!”
“Jarvis how long ago did the last message come in?” Tony asked taking a glass from Dummy. Still getting a kick of using the name Starkers. Willow had guessed the named was picked from a running stark naked across a high school football field or some such antic.
“Seventeen minutes ago.”
”RedTree I’m in New York too. Would you be interested in meeting? Give me a call. -Starkers”
“Are you sure this is wise Sir?” Jarvis asked.
“She’s been my friend for years. I hope she will still be my friend when she finds out everyone else knows me as Tony Stark.” Tony said as Dummy whistled and reached for the empty glass.
