Alfred may not need to come up with the whole story, but at least with enough clues or information for the PR people to create a whole, cohesive, publicity-friendly story. :-)

I'm sure it will be something about Buffy and Dawn finding out about their cousin and then Buffy and Bruce meeting and love at first sight, etc.
