She is going to be so happy to get away from being a princess and escape to New Imladris... although I'm sure she would invite Anairon along if she thought there was any chance of him being able to agree!

At this point, she's rather resigned to the notion that if she sneaks off home, the circus is likely to follow her. (And she knows there's still more relatives she hasn't met yet...)

And cinnamon rolls make everything better.

So she only gets these dreams the first time she meets someone who died a horrible death. Why doesn't she just get them all to line up so she meets them all at once and get things over with quickly in one huge horror movie dream?

Of course, that probably would be too easy wouldn't it. Is there a specific story I can go back and re-read that lists the "rules" behind this dream horror show?

I am not sure that would work either. If I remember correctly, Morgoth cursed her with seeing everything he had ever done to a person when she saw them. The constant reminder of his power and he wanted her to hurt. He wanted the reunion wrecked not just for her but for all the elves. So there’s no way Anariel will ever tell anyone else about the curse, she’ll keep that to herself for as long as she can. The other side of it is that its not just events and like she can combine people who were at them together. It is like a movie reel where she has to watch/be helpless to stopit over and over again. So lining people up would mean her being stuck in the nightmare until it ends. And if it is interrupted.. it restarts.

Short answer: that would be one doozy of a horror movie. Slightly less short answer: she's wary of combining too much in one go after her first 'meet the Valar' experience. Even if it's less intense with elves, it's still not a good time.

I forget if the post outlining how the curse works was last FAD or the year before... will go digging as soon as I get a chance!

Had to laugh at the last line because yes, weapons are great, but Slayers love their food too. Anarion is pretty much guaranteed an appreciative audience in Anariel.

They really need a crash course on fashions for Tirion at least, though probably everywhere eventually.

Horrible that she had to see it again and, she obviously knows Lisse well enough to figure out it was just a mistake (better than I know her - LOL) and forgive her.

Anairon has a Slayer in his corner whenever he wants/needs one, just as long as he keeps the food coming...

Anariel knows exactly whose fault all this is, and it isn't Lissë's.
