Yikes! Poor Elrond and kids! I don’t think I really understood what freaked Lissë out last night. I thought she’d touched her and got dragged into the battle! Given how bad she reacted to just Anariel sleeping like a human, and then bleeding a little (then a lot, but I think she missed that part?), a battle might just break her!

Lissë would most definitely not handle a full-on battle well at all.
(She was brought up in Third Age Tirion by a father who kept her wrapped up in the elvish equivalent bubble wrap...)

So, the other side of Anariel being woken. The previous story now makes more sense. But wasn't as violent as I thought.

It doesn't have to be violent to get messy...

Oh dear - when Tindomiel discovers that it was Lissë being freaked out 'about nothing' that disturbed Anariel, her opinion of Lissë is definitely not going to improve!

And such a surfeit of grandfathers - perhaps Tinu should make use of her linguistic skills and add in Grandpere, and Abuelo!

I think Tindomiel only finds out that part if her brothers really take against Lissë.

First she'd have to explain those other languages...

I rather doubt Buffy's secret is going to stay between her and her brothers much longer. It's not even just falling asleep in the armory, but what sort of dreams she was having that a scream had her react as she did. There are probably enough people around who will have some indication that she's not being entirely honest if she blames it on Slayer reactions... and at least a few of those will press for answers.

Excellent additions to the series, as always. It took me until today to realize that I'd missed most of August for FAD posts, but at least I got to read a bunch of new bits all together! :)

Slayer reaction + primed to protect her little sister no matter what will be believable enough for her parents, which means most of the rest will go with it for now. If it becomes a pattern, though, she's going to have a lot of people asking questions.

Wow. So, yeah. Lisse definitely has some lessons to learn about how to behave around battle-ready elves.

Loved the family time at the beginning. I guess in the movie version, Arwen was successful in preventing Buffy's begetting, which is why she wasn't in it, right?

Sooo many grandparents! I have a feeling the three older kids are going to feel a little overwhelmed for quite a while with it all.

My question about Grandfather Ara is whether or not he picked up any of Buffy's thoughts as she was waking up, thinking her sister was in trouble. I can't imagine that would sit well with him and might make him seek out Elrond without pause. Can't wait to see what really happens.

Lissë just had lesson number one...

Yes, that's it. Arwen interrupted things, thus no Buffy!

Arafinwë picked up her alarm and then pain, which was more than enough to worry him.
