And how nice that Anariel is already developing a 'teasing sister' type relationship with Anairon.
I can see why Irissë might be more inclined to spoil him - he is one of a group of friends that includes her son and daughter-in-law, and that daughter-in-law is the granddaughter of her own best friend. So she probably feels as if she is almost a generation older - as well as knowing how poorly Turgon did at being a big brother to Anairon, so feeling he might need some spoiling.
It wasn’t as though this would be the child’s last day in Tirion.
Well figured... she might even get the chance to wear her own clothes :)

Irissë always wanted a chance to be big sister, and by the time she got it, she was not going to mess it up. (Especially since Turgon already made a mess of it. Which he heard about. At length. She was willing to say it if no one else was.)

Aunt Trouble was in no way going to mess up the 'big sister' thing as badly as Turgon did the 'big brother'. (Even though she has no experience.)
