Hmm - that reminds me - I was thinking of making beer bread pizza for tonight!

And how nice that Anariel is already developing a 'teasing sister' type relationship with Anairon.

I can see why Irissë might be more inclined to spoil him - he is one of a group of friends that includes her son and daughter-in-law, and that daughter-in-law is the granddaughter of her own best friend. So she probably feels as if she is almost a generation older - as well as knowing how poorly Turgon did at being a big brother to Anairon, so feeling he might need some spoiling.

It wasn’t as though this would be the child’s last day in Tirion.

Well figured... she might even get the chance to wear her own clothes :)

Did beer bread pizza happen? (It sounds delightful, by the way.)

Irissë always wanted a chance to be big sister, and by the time she got it, she was not going to mess it up. (Especially since Turgon already made a mess of it. Which he heard about. At length. She was willing to say it if no one else was.)

It did! Beer bread; self-raising flour, (or plain four & raising agent) sugar, beer, salt, and other flavourings to taste. Flatten it onto the tray and add toppings if making pizza.

Hopefully she's successful in her attempt to get Anarion not to be afraid or intimidated by her. And knifework is definitely the correct chore to give Buffy in a kitchen.

I hope your hand? is feeling better! I was worried about you. For some reason it wouldn’t show me your post until sometime afternoon today (I checked at 3am, and 5am, and a bunch before heading to work at noon). But after work? Boom, like nothing was amiss! 🤷‍♀️

I love the domestic Buffy-Anairon getting-to-know-you! I wonder if Aunt Trouble’s treatment of her little brother might not be from all the Be CAREFUL with him!s that were going around at first meeting. And the fact that he’s (way) younger that her son…
