I feel so spoiled that we get an update every day even if they are short.
Hope life is treating you well.

Anariel doesn't have a short form yet as most of the others do - the obvious ways to shorten her come too close to other relatives' names. (Nolofinwë flat out objects to calling her Narë because Feanor's going to be bad enough as it is without giving her the feminine form of his short name.)

Partly the Fountain of Scoring Points, but that wasn't the only one-upsmanship going on back in the Years of the Trees before swords were drawn and things got serious...

Tyelko's analysis of Anariel being a combination of Luthien and Artanis was probably my favorite description of Buffy and most like the one to scare the majority of the Noldorin family.
Love these visits to the Granfathers and uncles, even the ones she doesn't speak to.

Yes, they've all been booted out of Feanor's workshop over the years, so the idea that Anariel has just appropriated it without a second thought broke a few brains! (And no, he's not going to be bothered at all. Only annoyed that he's not there to mentor.)
Tyelko's analysis would probably worry some on the Sindarin side as well...
