Lol, chocolate, the food of love (familial, platonic, amourous, whatever)! Glad Anairon finally made his appearance, and with such a hit! I only wish I had cousins with that kind of talent.
Oh - I didn't realise Gimli and Legolas had managed to get there before them! I can see it might take a while to really convince the whole flotilla of grandmothers, not to mention Thingol, that they really do not intend to marry each other.
I am so pleased that Anairon's mother thinks he should practice his talent to his full extent and allow him to stay in the kitchens - and hey! He could become Aman's first chocolatier!
Yes, Legolas and Gimli not only had a head start (the brothers El and Anariel spent all that time in Lothlorien with Arwen), but their ship didn't get delayed the way Anariel's did. So they definitely showed up first. Which meant Legolas got to explain himself showing up with a dwarf to his grandfather on his own...
There is definitely a (mostly Sindarin) grandmotherly faction rooting for Anariel/Legolas, but they're doomed to disappointment.
He may be a bit late to be the first chocolatier, but given his inside information about how chocolate was used in California, he definitely has an edge on becoming the best one!
What a fun meal. And the sound of shock and betrayal that Galadriel would rat her out was great. Especially when Galadriel's brothers took it in stride as if it happened all the time. Also enjoyed Galadriel getting scolded by her mother.
I think the demonstration with the hairclip clarified a few things for people. That and help them know her a little more.
Also the meeting with Anarion was nicely done. Buffy may have a new hero when it comes to chocolate.
Yeah, Galadriel ratting her out was a bit of a stunner for Anariel. (Not that she probably would have lasted long even without that - she's not used to dealing with Finarfin at close range just yet.)
The hairclip demo definitely clarified a thing or two.
Buffy has a new favorite cousin when it comes to chocolate!
