One would hope that being the heir is something of a courtesy title unless Thingol has a nasty fall from a horse, or manages to get himself drowned - but it could be looked on that the acknowledgement in this particular place and time is a bonus to all involved, as it means Thingol's heir will also have affirmed allegiance to the High King.
Concentrating on Daeron might wall have helped a little with the Morgoth 'gift' too. As Eärwen has the right of it that Anariel can be both strong and fragile at the same time.
And those at the front of the event still haven't see the back of the dress... A certain grandmother might begin to think that she should not have interfered but allowed Anariel's big sister her part in the ceremony.

Alas for all involved, Thingol's heir still has zero interest in playing political football, or being the prize in a tug of war...
As for the dress...today's post is up. :)

Loved this view of her entrance, though I feel a little bad for Nolo. Anaire, for not really seeming to get Buffy has some great insights. I imagine there will be some talking going on amongst the family about what to and not to do and that Elrond and Celebrian are ready for an Excedrin commercial "I have a headache *this big*..." While Tinu is sitting there smugly going "told you I was the least troublesome!"
Still, very in keeping wtih who she is. Loved that her brothers adapted their role as she did hers.
On the plus side, probably no one will be talkign about her scandalous clothing and lack of shoes. Maybe.
Thanks for this view of things. Lookign forward to more.

I don't think 99% of the audience have even noticed the lack of shoes with everything else going on...
