Really enjoyed this sequel. It perfectly establishes the relationship dynamics of the trio and that they've known each other a good while at the start of the first story. Did Steve dance with Buffy? Did Buffy dance with both of them?
So pleased you returned to this verse and hope you're inspired to do more. I'm even more curious now as to how this dynamic is reimagined post serum and Peggy. Though this seems to be only Peggy at Camp LeHigh. Could Buffy go with Steve to rescue Bucky when in europe? I can't see anyone being able to stop her...
This scene will likely turn into a longer story which covers the dance. Steve still isn't comfortable dancing with the ladies so alas I believe Bucky is her only hope.
Buffy does go to Europe but has her own adventure with Peggy and Howard. I have other stories plotted in this series. Now to write them.
Great interactions among the three and just between Bucky and Steve. Bucky's look to Steve seemed to clearly communicate that it was supposed to be a real date, not a "not-date". Still, at least they're going to have some fun.
Thank you! This series was actually started for a hetbigbang way back when and the pairing was Buffy/Bucky so it's interesting that you read into he wanted Steve to date Buffy. :) I intended Buffy and Steve to just be the best of friends with mutual love and admiration between them.
