The timeline for this one always confuses me. There's The Seven Samurai, the original Western (a personal favorite), its remake, the 2 season TV show set in the old west (US) - that I've never seen, and the modern day ATFversion, which I assume is something a fan came up with.

Since this story is set in the old west timeline, maybe?, I'm wondering how Buffy and Giles got there :-)

It can be confusing and I don't always remember that people aren't always familiar with it. I agree with you on the original western, but this one is based off the 2-season TV show. Where there was more time to get to know the characters and their interactions.

For the Scoobies, basically I just shifted them back through time so they would be operating in the 1870's -1880's, and without an overly active Hellmouth so they can travel more to deal with issues. Slaying Ina bustle must be interesting, if not impossible.
