But, you know, think about the plot. Like, the brothers fighting, Sam trapped inside while Lucifer destroys the world and hurt his brother and then, when they finish Lucifer, all the angst and put all the pieces back.... :D

I like that scenario better! I've heard others, in which Sam's soul basically gets INCINERATED as soon as Lucifer possesses him. And that makes for a very unhappy camper on my part.
