Wow. I'm probably the last one to realise, but this Arcade Fire album is so wonderful that it's hurty-good. i love that the ordinary soapy-family-saga subject matter is couched in gothic, carnivaliesque gloom. i adore that post apocalyptic, iced in neighbourhoods are the backdrop for run-of-the-mill, crazy, everyday happenings ( Read more... )

for some reason I completely missed this entry I guess I must've missed a couple days. I just came across it when wondering how long ago was the last time you posted and was surprised to find - not long at all!

You're not the last person to realise - I haven't heard the Arcade Fire!

*everyone*'s been telling me to listen to arcade fire for months. :-P They've just never been played on the radio while I'm listening (probably because I only listen on sunday nights) and I've been trying not to buy cds sight unheard.
