First day of spring already? It's not until march for us here...

How have your plans for a permanent visa progressed since we last talked? I think you said you might have a possibility...?

Yeeeeah, it's a little confusing, because they do celebrate spring equinox as well, it's even a public holiday! (March 20th this year). Like I said, setsubun is very much still a mystery to me. I'll try to learn more before next year.

I won't get a permanent visa, but I have hired an immigration lawyer who is currently putting together my application. She says everything looks in order. I'm applying for 5 years, but will most likely get 1 year to start off with (and then apply again next year....). I can apply for permanent residency after 5 years (recently changed from 10 years). I'll do a post about this at some point, I'm sure o_o;; Hopefully everything works out!
