Derby Journal 2016: #1 Back on Track

My roller derby future seemed sort of up in the air after the minimum skills test early in December. I caught a really bad cold afterwards, and was down for the count for the rest of the season. Glad you're enjoying following along :)

I hope so!! It's a difficult one to practice for, because it requires a whole set of different skills, and I'm not sure what's keeping me from completing it. Do I lack leg strength? Is my technique off? Am I just generally out of shape? 8D

Nah, I really don't think you're out of shape. As a layman, I'd say it's a speed issue ... more speed means more laps in the same amount of time. But I'm well aware that there's probably a lot more to it than just pure speed, like technique, so I guess ... keep on practicing?
