They are actually Amiibos, so if you have Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer for the 3DS, you'll get new assignments, items, and characters by reading the cards with your 3DS :D But I agree, they are quite collectible just in themselves as well!
Judging by the dice marks on them, I think they are compatible with Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival for WiiU too.
It took ages for the cards to reach Norway, and I've only seem them in one store so far. Hopefully they'll keep selling them for a little while longer.
I'm so behind! I haven't played an Animal Crossing since... New Leaf? The second one. I love Animal Crossing, but I never wanted to buy a 3DS just to play it... (I'm not much of a gamer in general really.)
