The mention of your holiday visa application had me do a double take. Sounds like this has been in the works for a while. So, you'll be in Japan for a whole year? Working as a translator or something else? And is Christian coming with you?

Hahhaa xD;; oh no, we have pavements/sidewalks, but I'm talking about boardwalks... like beach promenade type of deals where you always see cool people on their skates/skateboards in American films 8D;;; like a stretch of urban space for pedestrians with room for skaters, with the proper sort of surface (concrete or very smooth asphalt).
