I finally sat down to watch Mad Max: Fury Road. Excited because of the hype, intrigued to see how they'd transformed the weird (and borderline boring) franchise into something the tumblr generation would enjoy. Confused when I realised it wasn't really any different at all, just more CGI, and orange, and noise

I have almost a negative desire to see mad max. I never saw the original, I'm sure if I saw it now it would seem lousy because of how long it has been, and I don't like those types of films at all. That said, Tim desperately wants to see it so I imagine we will be renting it soon. /sigh

Haha! I was actually looking forward to it. The gif sets and raves I'd seen on tumblr made it seem like the film had an actual plot with characters you could get into .... but uhmmm, it didn't really grab me at all. And the "acting" during the opening part fell flat. The line deliveries were awful D:

I only saw Mad Max in the theatre because my wife's sister LOVES it and she wanted us to see it with her, but I was not impressed. I found it strange, confusing, and overly hyped.

Like, I saw the first two Mad Max films because I was curious about the franchise. The films are OK, but seriously weird .... so I was looking forward to seeing how the new one improved on what was already there. I guess I'm not in the film's intended demographic or something, because I just didn't get it at all :/

I had heard that it was really good, and somehow refreshing in this day and age of bland movies, but hmm.. I shall give it a watch at least XD
