LOL same here with the pale vs lobster red. I forgot to put on sunblack on Monday and managed to fry myself. **sigh**
Not sure when I will get to see X-Men but OMG I want to go so bad! The reviews have been insanely good, especially for a superhero movie. I need to see it on the big screen.
JAPAN OMG!!!!!!! That is on my bucket list. I want to eat sushi in Japan. I keep pestering the boy to get his passport so we can plan crazy trips like that but I think he is being all sensible and trying to save up for a downpayment on a house. Pffffft.
And sun block is so expensive as well D: The sun blocks we get in Norway never seem to do anything for me, meanwhile the cheap-o sunblock I get in Japan (in cute travel sized bottles) work amazingly well and keep my skin happy (... and pale) all summer long. I wish I could import that stuff and have it handy for all my sun exposure needs.
I CAN'T WAIT FOR X-MEN. I try to stay away from reviews and trailers until after I've made up my own opinion, but what little I've seen so far looks really great :D
Aw man, Japan is awesome. If you ever have a chance to go, don't even think about it, just go :)
I hear you on the lobster issue... And I'm really glad the feedback has been revived - the people in charge are in dire need of something that helps keeping track of our resentment for wacky changes.
I feel so stupid. People keep telling me that you'll build up a tolerance, and once you've been burnt, there's a higher chance you'll turn tan the next time around. THIS NEVER HAPPENS FOR ME, THOUGH. And it's not like I avoid the sun either. :|
Hahaha, the LJ userbase has always been extremely reluctant to any change, though. It's bordering on ridiculous. But I guess it reflects people in general. Most people don't really want things to change. I think it's great that LJ chooses to involve their userbase in the decision making (though they used to be a lot better at it back before Six Apart bought the company ...). Right now, it makes them look kind of wishy-washy. I feel like maybe they do need to just step up and push through the changes they want. Let the site evolve and see what happens. A lot of people probably won't like it, but I mean, if a company can't make their own decisions about their own product ... that just seems counter productive and strange! Why would you want others to steer the development of your product?
Okay, when you say it like that, it obviously makes total sense. I'm not against change in general - I just dislike the fact that they try to implement stuff that's too facebook-y for my taste. I'm here because it's different from FB and I would very much like to separate the two distinctively.
I mean, yeah, don't get me wrong. I am not super thrilled about the impending friend feed (as expressed very openly back in 2012). But I mean, it's two years later, and nothing has changed since the initial open BETA test ........... that seems lazy and unproductive somehow.
I'm just the same when it comes to being in the sun - I've had so many horrible sunburns in the past, nowadays I just put on lots of suncream and cover up as much as possible... but that can be frustrating when just going out for a little while! :(
Yay, that's great that you'll get to go to Japan again! I'll look forward to hearing all about it. I'm trying to save-up to go there on a working holiday at the moment, but it seems so far out of reach to my poor self...

Aw, thanks :) I'll do my best to keep my LJ active while I'm there. Do you have any tips on things to see and do? I'm always open for new experiences~

I'm not sure what the holiday was for this last week. Some Christian celebration, but I forget exactly what.

Ah it was the same as our holiday. It was for Whitsun. Although I have no idea what that is either!
