The Christmas Invasion is win. How did it sound dubbed? Did they choose someone with a fairly similar voice to David Tennant's or did they just throw caution to the wind and cast, like, some really deep-voiced dude? Same with Billie Piper, how did her dubbed voice sound? (I just re-watched that episode on Sunday while we decorated our tree! :D)

All the voice actors were fairly well cast, I thought. The voices reminded me of how everyone really sounds. Then again Japanese people seem to really know how to do this whole dub thing, so yeah o_o; The fact that it was dubbed didn't really bother me at all, actually, which is a first XD

It's funny how Japanese dubbers actually try to talk in the exact same way as the actor they're dubbing for. I saw Shrek in Japanese, and donkey sounded 100 % like Eddie Murphy talking fluent Japanese! And it sounded so hilarious, because normally NO Japanese man would talk like that.

Apparently there are two Japanese comedians who are doing a whole show just paroding dubbers/voice actors pretending to be Americans. They wear blond vigs and fake, ugly gaijin noses and talk in a Voice Actor way even at home. Haha, it sounds so great. I want to see it.

On the Red Dwarf season one DVDs they have the first episode in Japanese in the bonus materials. 'twas amusing.
