Once Miki is gone, I don't think I'll listen to MM anymore. None of the other girls hold my interest and many of them are so damn squeaky. I always liked having Yossie, Miki, and Makoto as the deeper base for the songs, but if they're all gone, then it's just squeak, squeak, squeak all the way and that's not appealing to listen to. Sadly, I saw this coming. Yossie has been so under-used lately in all the songs, so I figured she was on her way out. That doesn't make the news any better. Two rumors have been floating around about her future. 1: Group of Ayaka, Mai, and Hitomi. 2: Old-school Morning Musume group made up of past members. I don't know which one I like better! Ayaka is great, too, but having an old-school group would be most excellent.
I hate the way the international (internet? xD) fans makes everything sound like a conspiracy or doomsday or whatever. I think that's probably why I never really bothered getting myself involved with various fan forums and blogs because of the constant drama and speculations. Ever since I became a fan (and long before that) people have been saying "THIS IS THE END OF MOMUSU THEY'LL DISBAND THIS YEAR FOR SURE". It's driving me fucking crazy. This is not an attack against you, I just.. had to get it out since I realised I've never really aired my views on this anywhere ahfgjkahgkja XDDDD

Sorry to read what you think about the fan community. I actually like some of the blogs and communities, such as Tokyo Jihen (which, in my opinion, takes a friendly, hopeful tone towards things, especially with Koharu) and Gimme H!P, and I guess I never saw the whole conspiracy thing. I always think of conspiracy theorists as people who think that applesauce can kill you or the government was in on 9/11, not fans discussing the ins and outs of a singing group. I would say that perhaps we are gossipers, but then so is the media in Japan that announces such things as Hitomi's graduation or the possibility that Sayumi is seeing a guy from Kat-tun, right? I also like knowing that there are other English-speaking people out there who are into H!P because the other people I know here in Atlanta who listen to Japanese stuff are all into J-rock, not pop at all, and I left my J-rock phase four years ago

PS: Hitomi looks awesome all decked out in a three-piece suit. HOWEVER! She also looks good in a girly school uniform. It is clear that this woman can do everything. Here's hoping she'll succeed in her future.
I KNOW! She can be such a tomboy, but still pull off wearing the cutest dresses on earth O_O; I have no idea how she does it, but no matter. She is awesome for making it work ♥ ♥
XDDDDDD MoMusu members in general have done better than any of the Spice Girls have done when they went solo. A Morning Musume member's graduation can't really be compared to anything we've seen with pop groups in America or Europe. The main group continues on without them without problems (well.. for the most part at least). Morning Musume has 8 generations of members. With Yossi graduating all the members that were a part of 1 - 4th generation are gone (meaning; 1st gen=the first line-up of members in the group). The group keeps on evolving. A couple of weeks ago one girl won the 8th gen audition. New people come into the group and other leave. It's happened a lot lately, but it used to be a yearly thing or.. so? More or less anyway xD; Like I said in my post, I don't know of any other pop group that manages to pull this off. It's quite amazing that they've lasted for 10 years. I think, though that the graduations and the constant adding in new girls make things more interesting and it's helped them survive for so
I was kidding about the Spice Girls, except Posh who we only hear about because of her marriage, no one really knows anything about those girls anymore. :( ahha.
I think I heard of a Latin American group with a similar concept, except it was more like once you hit a certain age you were kicked out. Hmm.
Anyway, I'm sure if she's very talented, she will do really well. :)
xD Well, when reading through my post I realised I forgot to mention that in addition to graduating old members, they always add in new ones to keep the group going. My post makes it sound like it's the same girls that have been with the group since they started 10 years ago xD; But yeah, that's not how it is.
It's sort of sad about the Spice Girls, I really like them before the broke up .__.;
Ah, that was the group Ricky Martin was in before he became a solo artist, wasn't it? I think I remember hearing about something similar too now that you mention it xD The members being kicked out because of age, I mean.
:) Hopefully she'll stick around. I'd hate for her to just disappear, I'd really, really miss her ._.;;

I actually watched some MM before but it's hard to find something that's texted.
