This is perfect. You used the mirror imagery so well, I could see dean's sanity slipping with each Sam he had to kill.

I find myself weirdly comforted by the last scene, though.

What a lovely comment -- thank you very much for reading and yes, that's one of the things I had in mind for this story. :) Their heaven was shared, so why wouldn't Sam's hell be too? And of course Dean wouldn't just leave him there to suffer all on his lonesome!
