"Hamlet"! Wonderful! I reread it start to finish once in a while too. The language in it is so great -- "Woo't drink up eisel? Eat a crocodile?" I sit around imagining the ideal staging of it, and I haven't seen one that comes close yet (same deal with "Twelfth Night").
I read it a couple years back -- I should read it again -- the film was crap, I thought. Speaking of films, do you have a favorite version of "Hamlet"?
Alas, the only version I've seen is the movie directed by Kenneth Branagh. It's been years; I keep meaning to buy the DVD, but something always prevents me. From what I remember I liked it, and I thought there was some solid acting. But on the other hand I think Branagh was a little old to be Hamlet and I never imagined such a hostile takeover at the end. Although when you put it in the context of Fortinbras being young and bent on war it makes perfect sense.
Gosh, all of this has really revved me up to read it again. LOL

Have you read Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead by Tom Stoppard? I'll admit, that has colored my views on Hamlet, somewhat.
