Hate to sound like a broken record, everyone, but can potential new members please read the information on the comm's Profile page - especially the bit pertaining to age verification
( Read more... )
I was wondering the other night if we needed to make another announcement - I checked a couple of the new requestors, and they had no DOB, no email, no journal entry, making it difficult to verify age.
I wanted to make this post a "sticky" one at the top of the comm, lasting for a couple of months because, y'know, that'd be handy to do in the wake of book 7, but apparently LJ won't allow us to do that. *chiz*
Re-date it. Set it as a date in like, 2008 or something and it should stay as the first entry. The thing is, is that entries after that you have to option for "date out of order". It sounds complicated, but I've done it on my writing journal, so it works somehow.
Yeah, that's what I was doing. :) It works in private journals just fine, but when attempting to do so in a community, LJ spits it back and says you can't do that in "non-private journals". *boggle* What's the point of being a Mod, I keep asking myself? :D
