A/N: Prompt was "to write a 100 word drabble (+/- 1 word), in present tense, from a 2nd person POV". I've never posted to this community before, but I couldn't resist giving it a try. I just hope I'm posting and tagging correctly! This is precisely 100 words according to my word count.
There
You are there when light fades from their blue optics.
You are there as their twinned spark pulses and flickers and strains.
You are there to smooth their ragged armour, to sit vigil through the long night.
It’s dawn before their optics flare in unison, red frame and yellow reawaken, and the twins’ spark burns bright again. They fill Medbay with noise and chaos and life, their vitality draining the last of yours. You snarl a warning and send them away, anger masking exhaustion. And - at last - recharge can claim your weary spark… because, whenever it matters, you’ll be there.
