if anyone has an answer, tell me do.
but whats the cure for jadedness.
O__O
on another note,
and this is late but i just wanna say how in my opinion, the supposedly upsetting results of american idol season eight is more due to one, the other/downside of hype, that is, the major mad disappointment when hype doesnt turn out as expected. and two, a case of (perceived) unbridled biasness for one contestant actually backfiring against him, which is sadder, because then it is not so much his fault is it? it becomes then a case of him being the victim of a marketing effort to bring publicity to a show that has seen decreasing number of viewership, hence it becoming known instead as the adam lambert show. but really, whose fault are all these? anyhoos, setting such blaming game and theories aside, there were highlights to the show that i enjoyed.
from performance night, adam blowed the winds out of everyone again with his rendition of mad world. love the jacket dude, or should we call it trenchcoat. very matrixy and i personally have always loved the look of these delicious long trenchcoats, esp if the wearer is able to carry it off, which he did. :) and the voice, of course. dry ice? check. mood and feel, check check.
from the kris camp, his first song was the fly. it was as randy said, his best performance ever, like evuh, and i agree. like dude. u can so work that piano, and i for one, am a sucker for haunting piano plays so him on that piano with aint no sunshine gave the chills like no other.
and then on results night, i really really enjoyed allison's (my fav girl!) duet with cyndi lauper for
time after time, like wooh! girls power. allison held her own while lauper has that pulling mysterious quality about her that is hot. i cant stand how it's so hard now to get a good quality version of anything on youtube so im just putting em links instead of actually posting the clip up here.
and then i also really loved how the black eyes peas totally rocked the house with their latest boom boom pow. like how is it possible that they can always come up with these really catchy tunes that just get stuck in your head. but i love more how taboo has his hair short now, short by his standard that is lol. hotter dude! ^^
and then i also liked kris' duet with keith urban (kidman's hubby!) for kiss a girl because i thought wow, u can immediately see what type of artiste he can be and how he can have a future with that style and genre. and i dont know, there was just sth really easy and pleasing about that perf.
i cant rmbr what else i wanted to gush about the show but my sis is such a fan (of adam) (i know
leavingmylegacytoo ^^) and AI has been such a part of my fam's tv viewing experience that it has that somewhat hanging feeling not having the necessary post on it. lol i know. but whatever the outcome, im very sure both will have amazing careers ahead. i mean, looking at it, you cant have a bigger worldwide exposure and platform that the AI. i think? anyhoos. here's a
duet, i will remember you, by both adam and kris that i really adore and it's only sad how it's not like a full proper song.
and who (at least those who are avid AI followers) hasnt already fallen for underwood's version of
home sweet home? :) i for one, never thought her songs, cover or not, would grow on me but this one really did. it's just beautiful like that.
You Know I’m A Dreamer
But My Heart’s Of Gold
I Had To Run Away High
So I Wouldn’t Come Home Low
Just When Things Went Right
It Doesn’t Mean They Were Always Wrong
Just Take This Song
And You’ll Never Feel
Left All Alone
Take Me To Your Heart
Feel Me In Your Bones
Just One More Night
And I’m Comin’ Off This
Long & Winding Road
I’m On My Way
Well, I’m On My Way
Home Sweet Home
Tonight, Tonight
I’m On My Way
I’m On My Way
Home Sweet Home
You Know That I Seem
To Make Romantic Dreams
Up In Lights, Fallin’ Off
The Silver Screen
My Hearts Like An Open Book
For The Whole World To Read
Sometimes Nothing
Keeps Me Together
At The Seams
I’m On My Way
Well, I’m On My Way
Home Sweet Home
Tonight, Tonight
I’m On My Way
Just Set Me Free
Home Sweet Home
Uhmmm, I’m On My Way, Yeah
I’m On My Way
Home Sweet Home
Yeah…, I’m On My Way
Just Set Me Free
Home Sweet Home.
today the sis and i did some clearing out of bags that we could do without, or rather, that we were able to convince ourselves we could do without. ^^ anyhoos, we managed to be clear of a box of em by using tim gunn's method of separating them into throwaways, keepers, and recycled. lol. i have a nagging suspicion they're gonna be mementos before their time. there was this one that i obviously wouldnt use out like ever bcoz mr. mickey mouse is happily on the front and it's in this dull green bordered with muddy brown but i couldnt bring myself to put it amongst the throwaway / recycled pile. maybe because it was the first bag my dad got me. and this was way back in the old primary school days. lower primary too i think. is that shocking? i dont know. sappy definitely. but it's actually still in pretty good condition. so yea, im being practical too. haha. and then there were the usual hey i didnt know this bag is here, maybe i'll need it sometime so lets keep it for now, or hey! this bag is good for this and that occassion, i could so do with this bag and i shouldnt therefore have gotten that other bag since i already actually have this but i didnt know or remember it even existed since it was kept hidden in this box under all these other bags so im still keeping this. :)
projects wise, im good. but im only kidding myself because for those three projects that i listed in that other entry, ive actually only been faithful to one. *hides under a boulder* we have not up to this point went on that mega printing photos business therefore the photo album project has not officially started and im aware it is already nearing the end of may so the project might be held off for the month of june instead. and then the gifts for BB project? due this sat but i havent started and im not sure actually if im even starting. gah. so i was only good to my 200+ cartoon strips project, maybe because peanuts, baby blues and pickles are too much love. :)
i've also went to watch angels & demons and it's really not that bad. maybe because im a loser for thrillers and it IS thrilling and suspenseful but whether it was true to the book, i actually dont think so, and i must say im more a book fan in any book to movie adaptation. also, i didnt watch DVC the movie to have strong opinions against watching A&D.
and wow, this has been quite a long post, long in the sense that i should do an eljay cut but apologies my flist because eljay cuts just somehow always end up wrong for me where then i'd end up feeling frustrated and aggravated and i can so do without all that extra emotions and effort. ^^
stay healthy everyone!
